2010 vs. 2009 Sales and Prices for Fairhope, AL

This information reflects single family, residential home sales for Fairhope, AL – Baldwin County, AL based on the Baldwin County MLS as of January 13, 2011.

Fairhope had 348 sales in 2010 compared to 271 sales in 2009 – that up a staggering 28%!!  Great news for Fairhope Real Estate.  That being said, median home prices did fall 4% from 2009.

Of the 348 sales, 50% were sold for $200K or less; 38% for $201-$400K; and 12% for $401k and up.  These ranges did not change appreciably from 2009.
Overall, this is great news for the Fairhope, AL market.  All signs show a strong start to 2011 and if we can continue to sell at the pace of 2010, we should be able to absorb the pending foreclosures still to come.  Stay tuned – I’ll have Daphne, Spanish Fort, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Condos and all of Baldwin County’s stats soon.
